Proper nutrition is crucial to both healthy living and increasing fertility, since a balanced diet is essential for the body to function properly.  A lack of protein or calories can be related to infertility. Vitamin deficiencies may also lead to hormonal imbalances, and can interfere with sperm and egg production.  For example, research has shown the body needs an adequate amount vitamin E to facilitate conception.

The CTwellness Mind Body Alliance program offer practical advice about supplements, diets and lifestyle, and recommend foods to watch like caffeine, alcohol, and sugar, which in large amounts may impair fertility.  We also teach weight loss strategies and guidelines to healthier eating and exercise to enhance fertility and wellness, since some studies have actually shown that losing as little as 5% body mass can greatly increase the chances for conception.  We also offer specific metabolic testing to determine which approach is right for you.
